First masterclass of 2024

My first masterclass course of 2024 took place in early March at St Mark's Church, Oulton Broad, focussing on presentation and platform skills.Joined by pianist, John Reid, I broadened the format to use Neuro-Linguistic programming techniques to help students explore their own unique personality on the concert platform and explore what they wanted to achieve as performers. It was a long but immensely rewarding day, with all the students entering into the process with enthusiasm and bravery. I was thrilled when one member of the concluding concert's audience told me that it was the first vocal concert he'd ever been to where he truly felt performed to, rather than sung at!
