I'm so looking forward to singing at Snape Maltings Concert Hall on 23 April - place of my first major musical experiences with Suffolk Youth Orchestra and Suffolk Jubilee Choir. The experiences that inspired me to choose music as a career. But also, the venue for some of the performances that have shaped my career. AND to be singing a programme of Elgar masterpieces, including Sea Pictures and The Music Makers.
The occasion will also see the presentation by the Elgar Society of the Elgar Gold Medal to Christopher Bishop, the recording producer for all Sir Adrian Boult's Elgar recordings - also a Suffolk resident. It promises tobe a special evening all round. Can't wait!
